As Barber advanced with a combination, Grasso expertly unleashed a perfectly timed counter left, connecting cleanly with Barber's chin. The powerful blow instantly sent Barber crashing to the canvas, allowing Grasso to swiftly take her back and lock in a choke.
Barber was rendered unconscious even before she fully hit the mat. Referee Mike Beltran promptly intervened, stopping the contest moments after Grasso had secured the rear-naked choke (RNC).
