UFC fighter Paulo Costa recently admitted that his fondness for cars led him to make what he considers the worst financial decision of his career.

As Costa prepares for his upcoming bout against Azamat Murzakanov at UFC 327, he spoke with UFC on Paramount+ about significant purchases. When asked about his worst buy, a regrettable decision involving excessive spending, Costa shared his experience.

"I bought an old BMW in Las Vegas. I think it was the worst thing because it was very damaged, and the maintenance is so high. We spent a lot of money on that thing. I can't wait to sell it," Costa revealed, detailing how the poorly maintained vehicle became a considerable financial burden.

Paulo Costa Considers Fighting in Both Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Divisions

In the same interview, Costa discussed his future weight class plans. Having moved up to 205 pounds to face Murzakanov at UFC 327, he expressed his intention to compete in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.

"I can move up and down anytime. It is not too difficult. Probably yes [I plan to fight in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions]. I’m here to bring a good fight for the fans. Fans don’t care about weight classes, they just want to see fireworks," he stated.

Costa also mentioned his ongoing rivalry with UFC Middleweight Champion Khamzat Chimaev, indicating a desire for a future confrontation, regardless of weight class. Chimaev has previously expressed openness to competing at light heavyweight after defending his middleweight title.
