Max Holloway Challenges Conor McGregor to Rematch at Any Weight
Max Holloway has expressed keen interest in a rematch with former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor, suggesting it could happen at any weight upon McGregor's highly anticipated return to the octagon.
Holloway recently lost his BMF title to Charles Oliveira in a rematch at UFC 326. Following this setback, "Blessed" has vowed to secure a quick victory in his next fight to re-enter title contention.
Now, "Blessed" has publicly called out McGregor for a rematch as the 37-year-old prepares for his much-anticipated comeback. Holloway stated:
"Conor got the win last time. He's planning his comeback, and I'm looking to rebound from a loss. If he's not keen on a weight cut, I'm certainly not either. We can make this fight happen at any weight; it's purely about settling the score. Ultimately, it would be an entertaining bout."
Their sole encounter dates back to 2013, a bout where McGregor secured a unanimous decision victory.
McGregor has been absent from competition for nearly five years. He was recently cleared to fight after serving an 18-month suspension for violating anti-doping policy. Rumors suggest his return could be as early as July during International Fight Week, and he has already attracted call-outs from various fighters across the lightweight and welterweight divisions.
A potential clash between McGregor and Holloway promises to be an exhilarating contest. If Holloway can comfortably make the 170-pound welterweight limit, it would be an ideal scenario. Otherwise, a catchweight bout between 155 and 170 pounds could serve as a fitting compromise.
MMA Manager Hints at Potential Conor McGregor vs. Paddy Pimblett Bout
In related news, Paddy Pimblett has also voiced his desire to fight Conor McGregor, expressing willingness to move up to welterweight for the opportunity. MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz, a vocal critic of McGregor, predicted on social media that Pimblett would defeat the Irishman in 2026, adding, "This will make me very happy."
Pimblett recently sustained his first UFC loss against Justin Gaethje, enduring significant damage and multiple knockdowns in that bout. After a period of recovery and rehabilitation, "The Baddy" anticipates returning to action this summer and is eager for a fight against McGregor.
