However, Quinn Ellis has since attracted substantial interest, receiving lucrative offers from elite NCAA programs such as Duke and Louisville, both eager to integrate him as a key player for the upcoming season. Other prominent universities are also actively pursuing the British guard, with reported proposals for his commitment ranging between $4 to $5 million before taxes.
Discussions are currently in progress with Ellis's representatives regarding a new agreement that would guarantee his return to Milan following his stint in the NCAA. Given his age, it is anticipated that he will be eligible for only one season of collegiate basketball. This scenario suggests that, on paper, Ellis could make his return to Italy as early as Spring 2027, unless he secures an opportunity in the NBA after his college season, which remains his ultimate career ambition.
Despite holding a British passport, Quinn Ellis is officially recognized as an Italian-trained player. This designation stems from him having spent a minimum of three seasons within the Italian youth development system, which allows him to be counted as a local player in the national championship.
