Nate Sestina Joins ASVEL: A New Center from Milan
Nate Sestina, a player developed at Bucknell University, quickly established himself as a key player, particularly noted for his outside shooting and team-first mentality. After an initial professional stint in the G-League, he embarked on a European career, playing in Ukraine (Kyiv), the VTB League (Novgorod), Israel (Hapoel Holon), Turkey (Merkezefendi and Fenerbahçe, where he achieved a league and cup double), and Spain (Valencia) at the beginning of last season. He then moved to Milan, with whom he won both the national championship and the Italian Cup.
A subsequent arm injury required surgery. In Euroleague play with the Milanese club, his contributions were modest, averaging 3.1 points, 0.8 rebounds, and an efficiency rating of 1.7 over 10 games.
"Beyond his technical skills, Nate Sestina is recognized for his professionalism, team spirit, and his ability to adapt quickly to new environments. His profile, combining reach, long-range effectiveness, and mobility, proves ideal for LDLC ASVEL's playing system," the club stated in a press release.
