A new chapter appears to be unfolding for Monaco! Following Élie Okobo’s highly anticipated move to Dubai, Alpha Diallo is reportedly heading to Spain, a destination also rumoured for Matthew Strazel. According to information from Lucas Clemente, a journalist for Mundo Deportivo, Diallo has signed with FC Barcelona.
Should this move materialize, it would undoubtedly be an excellent acquisition for the Catalan club. They would secure the services of the Best Defender in the 2025/26 Euroleague season. Diallo, who was present for most of Monaco’s C1 matches this season (except the last), has had the best season of his career, averaging 11.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in the competition.
Will the Duo with Mike James be Rekindled?
Another factor that could facilitate Alpha Diallo’s arrival at Barça is the potential signing of Mike James in Catalonia. According to their teammate Jaron Blossomgame, Barcelona is the preferred destination for the Euroleague’s all-time leading scorer. However, James himself stated earlier this week that he has not yet discussed terms with any team.
