Following the adage “never two without three,” Djordje Milosevic is set to embark on his third tenure with Champagne Basket. After his initial stint during the 2021/22 season and a return as a medical substitute last September, the Serbian winger will now also play for the club in the 2026/27 campaign, as confirmed by the team.
This news is highly positive for the Champagne-based club, currently sitting in 10th place in Élite 2 and well-positioned for a play-in spot. Their current standing owes much to the Serbian player, whose contributions of 10.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game have been vital this season.
Coach Eric Bartecheky’s reaction:
“Upon my arrival at the club, it was crucial for me to rely on experienced, established players. Djordje Milosevic clearly falls into that category with his understanding of the game, his experience in the division, and his natural leadership. He serves as a benchmark for the group. He is also a competitor dedicated to the team, so his contract extension was a clear choice. I am very happy to be able to count on him next season.”
