Blois is bolstering its squad as the playoffs approach. Following Mathieu Ugolin’s calf injury, the ADA announced on Wednesday the signing of Nobel Bongou-Colo as a medical joker. He will begin his stint this Friday with a crucial away game against Évreux for both teams.
Bongou-Colo is familiar with the club, having previously played for Blois 19 years ago when they were in NM2. The green and white colors will likely bring back fond memories. His career also includes a successful period with CSP Limoges, where he won two French championship titles in 2014 and 2015, during which he also earned his first caps for the French national team.
Blois coach David Morabito commented on the signing: “Nobel has been training with us for over a month and has gradually integrated into the team’s dynamic. He now officially joins us with a well-defined role: to bring his high-level experience, his winning mentality, and his communication skills to the benefit of the collective. His arrival is a logical continuation and support for the group, without disrupting the balance built since the start of the season. I am convinced that his presence and his past achievements will be valuable assets to support the team in this final stretch.”
Blois Signs Experienced Player Nobel Bongou-Colo
In preparation for the upcoming playoffs, Blois has secured the services of Nobel Bongou-Colo on a temporary medical contract. This move comes after an injury to Mathieu Ugolin. Bongou-Colo’s arrival is timely, with an important match against Évreux scheduled for Friday.
This is not Bongou-Colo’s first time with the Blois club; he previously played for them 19 years ago when they competed in NM2. His past achievements include winning two French championships with Limoges in 2014 and 2015, a period that also saw him represent the French national team.
Blois’s coach, David Morabito, expressed confidence in Bongou-Colo’s contribution, stating that the player has been training with the team for some time and is well-integrated. Morabito highlighted Bongou-Colo’s experience, winning culture, and communication as key assets that will support the team’s objectives without altering the established team dynamics. He believes Bongou-Colo’s presence will be crucial for the team’s final push this season.
