Chelsea star Cole Palmer was visibly frustrated during a team discussion about the popular online debate: “Could 100 men defeat a gorilla in a fight?”
This hypothetical scenario reportedly originated on Reddit several years ago but recently gained widespread traction on social media, sparking passionate arguments globally.

While many online users lean towards the gorilla being the victor, Palmer firmly believes the hundred men would win.
Ahead of a recent match, the debate surfaced as players boarded their flight. Palmer specifically clashed with teammate Tosin Adarabioyo over the topic.

Tosin initiated the conversation, asking a cameraman about the debate and calling Palmer`s stance “stupid.” The cameraman immediately sided with the gorilla, earning Tosin`s agreement.
This provoked Palmer, who insisted the opinions were “split” and emphasized that he meant “100 men that are willing to fight…”
When the question was put to other Chelsea squad members, several – including Levi Colwill, Noni Madueke, Josh Acheampong, Marc Cucurella, and Lucas Bergstrom – also favoured the gorilla.
However, Palmer found allies in Trevoh Chalobah and Pedro Neto, who supported the idea that the group of men could overcome the ape.
Fans observing the exchange found the players` intense debate, particularly Palmer`s unwavering conviction, highly entertaining.
Comments included users noting Palmer`s readiness for the challenge, his characteristic attitude (“It’s always Cole”), his definitive opinion (“Cole knows, case closed”), and his self-belief.
