Louis Labeyrie Returns to SIG Strasbourg!
In a significant reinforcement for SIG Strasbourg, French international Louis Labeyrie is making his return to the club as a medical joker. This crucial addition comes as Strasbourg deals with several injuries within its squad, including that of power forward William Pfister.
Labeyrie previously played for SIG Strasbourg during the 2017/18 season before continuing his career abroad. He now rejoins the team after a stint with Gran Canaria. This season, while competing in the Liga Endesa, he averaged 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in just over 17 minutes per game. His return to Alsace is anticipated to energize SIG's interior game, a key aspect for a team that has already emerged as one of the surprising contenders in the Betclic Élite this season.
Sports Director Nicola Alberani shared his enthusiasm regarding the signing:
"We are very happy to welcome Louis Labeyrie. Everyone is aware of the qualities he possesses as both a player and a person. His profile perfectly aligns with the values of commitment that we, alongside the coach, strive to instill. Our partners and supporters are already familiar with Louis from his previous tenure at the club eight years ago. Bringing back a player who already knows our structure also provided us with an assurance of security."
