Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has reportedly sanctioned the potential departures of key players Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze this summer. This move aims to generate substantial funds, estimated around £130 million, for a major squad overhaul as the club prepares for significant changes.
Marc Guehi`s exit appears highly probable, with only a year remaining on his current contract. His situation has alerted several prominent clubs, including his former side Chelsea, along with Tottenham and Newcastle, who are expected to make bids.

Eberechi Eze could also be on his way out of Selhurst Park despite having two years left on his deal. His contract contains a release clause valued at £60 million, which opposing clubs could activate once the season concludes.

Glasner is said to be comfortable with the prospect of losing both players, seeing it as a necessary step to finance the significant changes he plans. The Austrian coach has requested the club target up to six new signings during the summer window, prioritizing players who can enhance the team`s physical dominance. He is reportedly willing to sacrifice Eze if necessary to achieve his recruitment goals.

While Crystal Palace`s run to the FA Cup final was a highlight for fans, Glasner has expressed dissatisfaction with the team`s overall inconsistency this season. He seeks players with a higher work rate off the ball, and Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham has been identified as a potential target, particularly if the Championship club does not secure promotion.
Newcastle previously made a substantial £70 million offer for Guehi last summer, which Palace declined at the time, opting instead to sell Joachim Andersen to Fulham for £30 million. However, with no progress made on a new contract for Guehi, Palace officials now anticipate the 24-year-old`s departure this summer. Newcastle is expected to renew their interest with another bid.
Tottenham also attempted a late move for Guehi in the January transfer window. However, Newcastle`s strong position for Champions League qualification this season could make St. James` Park a more appealing destination for the English defender.
Spurs have been tracking Eberechi Eze for a considerable period, but they face competition from Manchester United. The 26-year-old`s £60 million release clause makes him a relatively accessible target for clubs of their stature.
