Nate Diaz Eyes Charles Oliveira Fight for UFC Return

Nate Diaz has declared he has no immediate plans for retirement and has identified his ideal opponent for a potential return to the UFC.

Diaz is set to make his MMA comeback this weekend, marking his return after a four-year absence on the MVP and Netflix card, where he will face Mike Perry.

In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Diaz was questioned about his interest in re-signing with the UFC. The fighter from Stockton emphasized his reluctance to be bound by contracts that would restrict him from competing in other organizations.

However, once he has concluded his commitments outside the octagon, fans might indeed see him back in the UFC.

Nate Diaz Aims for Charles Oliveira’s BMF Belt

Nate Diaz has set his sights on the newly crowned BMF champion, Charles Oliveira, for his UFC return. Diaz was reportedly unimpressed with Oliveira’s performance at UFC 326, where the Brazilian secured the BMF title against Max Holloway primarily through wrestling. Following Oliveira’s victory, Diaz quickly signaled his intention to pursue that belt.

During his conversation with Ariel Helwani, Diaz specifically named “Do Bronx” as the fighter he wishes to face upon re-entering the octagon.

“It was hard to jump back in, something I tried so hard for so many years to get out of. I can’t just jump right back in… Oliveira out of everybody. I’m gonna go back and get that belt.”

Nate Diaz also indicated in the same interview that while a third fight with Conor McGregor is something he contemplates, he believes the timing is not yet right, suggesting that both he and “The Notorious” have unresolved matters to attend to before a potential trilogy bout.
