The Theatre of Dreams has witnessed numerous dramatic moments over the years, but this night was truly exceptional.

Bruno Fernandes converted a penalty, and substitute Kobbie Mainoo leveled the score.

Then, Maguire, playing as a makeshift striker, connected with Casemiro’s cross to head home the winning goal, sending the stadium into raptures.

With three goals in a whirlwind seven minutes, Manchester United kept their hopes alive for a successful end to a challenging season.

Ruben Amorim, fulfilling his promise, reinstated Andre Onana as goalkeeper after giving him the weekend off to mentally reset.

The tension was palpable due to Onana`s previous errors in France, creating an electric atmosphere at Old Trafford, unseen for quite some time.

The stadium even unveiled its first ever Tifo before the match, displaying the words ‘Never Gonna Stop’.

For about an hour, they lived up to that motto, playing as if their entire season hinged on this game – which, indeed, it did.

An early goal was crucial, and it materialized in the 10th minute. Bruno Fernandes and Noussair Mazrouai combined effectively on the right flank.

This created space for Alejandro Garnacho, who timed his run perfectly to stay onside before passing to Manuel Ugarte, who slotted the ball home, completing a superb team effort.

It was only the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder’s second goal for United, and it came at a critical moment.

Veteran midfielder Casemiro nearly extended the lead, but his shot was well saved by Lucas Perri.

After a sluggish start, Paulo Fonseca’s team grew into the game. Thiago Almada, who scored the free-kick that troubled Onana in the previous match, had a shot bravely blocked by Harry Maguire.

From the subsequent corner, Paul Akouokou’s header was skillfully pushed over the bar by Onana – a routine save, but one that surely boosted his confidence.
