Manchester United progressed to the Europa League semi-finals after a breathtaking 7-6 aggregate win against Lyon in a match filled with twists and turns.
The scoring began early with Manuel Ugarte finding the net in the 10th minute, giving the Red Devils an early advantage in this crucial encounter.
Diogo Dalot extended United`s lead just before halftime with a well-taken goal.
However, Lyon mounted a comeback in the second half. Corentin Tolisso pulled one goal back in the 70th minute, and Nicolas Tagliafico then equalized, making it 2-2 and pushing the match into extra time.

The situation worsened for United when Alexandre Lacazette converted a penalty, increasing Lyon`s aggregate lead to 6-4 in the second half of extra time.
In an astonishing turnaround, Manchester United scored three goals in a dramatic seven-minute spell. Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, and Harry Maguire all found the back of the net, with Maguire`s late goal securing a semi-final spot for Man Utd in the Europa League.
