Luis Felipe Dias announced his arrival in the UFC with a powerful first-round finish.
The Brazilian middleweight delivered a performance worthy of a statement in his promotional debut, stopping Yi Sak Lee with a decisive first-round knockout. This victory concluded the preliminary card at UFC Macau.
The fight began with a cautious approach from both competitors, who spent the initial minute assessing distance and seeking openings. Dias was the first to land effectively, targeting Lee’s lead leg with low kicks and steadily increasing his offensive pressure.
The dynamic of the fight shifted significantly once the 31-year-old began to unleash his strikes.
Luis Felipe Dias consistently put Lee on the defensive and landed several impactful blows as he pursued his opponent around the octagon. Mid-round, a potent hook sent the South Korean fighter to the canvas for the first time. Lee managed to recover and stand up, but Dias recognized that a finish was within reach.
Shortly after, he delivered another devastating right hook that connected cleanly with Lee’s chin. The impact immediately knocked Lee down for a second time, leading referee Lukasz Bosacki to intervene and halt the bout at 3 minutes and 40 seconds of the first round.
Luis Felipe Dias had earned his UFC contract through a second-round submission win against Donavon Hedrick on Dana White’s Contender Series last October. The Brazilian now holds an impressive professional record of 17-6 and is on a four-fight winning streak.
