Julius Thomas: Paris Basketball Coach Eyed by NBA

Sports News

Paris Basketball’s head coach, Julius Thomas, may be the next to leave the French capital for the NBA, following in the footsteps of Tuomas Iisalo and Tiago Splitter. According to reports from Gazzetta, several NBA franchises are keen to recruit him. However, a particularly compelling offer has emerged from the Portland Trail Blazers, a team where Tiago Splitter himself is now involved.

Thomas previously served as Splitter’s assistant last season, suggesting a potentially familiar environment should he decide to make the leap to the NBA in Oregon. Promoted to head coach of Paris Basketball after Francesco Tabellini’s dismissal, the 28-year-old German strategist has now gained significant experience and credentials that make him a desirable candidate for an NBA coaching staff. While two offers from Australian teams have also been noted, it appears unlikely that Thomas would turn down the allure of the world’s premier basketball league.
