Anadolu Efes is set to retain some continuity. Despite a season that fell short of expectations, particularly in the Euroleague where they finished 19th, Jordan Loyd is reportedly on the verge of a two-year contract extension with the Turkish club.
While Loyd did not quite replicate his excellent EuroBasket form, especially in terms of shooting, he experienced an inconsistent season. The former Monaco player averaged 11.4 points per game with a 34% three-point shooting percentage. He was more effective in the domestic league but could not prevent his team’s elimination in the semi-finals against Fenerbahçe.
Coach Pablo Laso Also Expected to Stay
When a club has a disappointing season, the coach is often the first to face scrutiny. Pablo Laso, who was hired mid-season, was no exception. Despite numerous rumors linking him with a departure, it is reported that the Spaniard is set to be confirmed as the head coach of Anadolu Efes, even though he was rumored to be heading to Malaga.
