Cristiano Ronaldo`s son, Cristiano Jr., has received a call-up to the Portugal Under-15 national team. This selection comes ahead of forthcoming matches, including a fixture against England.
Ronaldo senior shared the news of the international call-up on his Instagram account.

He marked his son`s name, which appeared first on the squad list, with a fire emoji. The football icon, who is 39, also added a message: “Proud of you, son.”

Cristiano Jr. currently plays within the academy setup of Al-Nassr, having moved to Saudi Arabia with his father over two years ago. The 14-year-old has also previously played for the youth teams at top European clubs Juventus and Manchester United during his developing career.
He will now gain his first experience in international youth football. Cristiano Jr. is part of the Portugal U15 squad scheduled to compete against Japan, Greece, and England later this month.

Back in 2022, the five-time Ballon d`Or winner revealed that his son had expressed a keen desire to play alongside him professionally one day. He recalled his son saying: “Dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!”

However, the football icon, renowned for his time at clubs like Real Madrid, stated he would not put pressure on his eldest child to follow in his footsteps or achieve success in football. He emphasized: “I will never pressure him. He will do what he wants. Also what I want the most for Cristianito and everyone else is that they`re happy and that they choose what they want. I will support in any way.”
