Olympiacos has a clear objective: a Euroleague back-to-back championship. To achieve this, they are actively participating in the transfer market. Following a period of celebrations, including a Greek championship title for the Piraeus club, their first new signing has arrived: Codi Miller-McIntyre.
Familiar with wearing red and white, having previously played for JL Bourg for a season and then for Crvena Zvezda for the last two years, the American point guard is considered one of the best in his position in Europe. In Serbia this past season, he averaged 12.6 points and 7.4 assists per game in the Euroleague.
His excellent court vision, combined with his exceptional physicality for a point guard, makes him the perfect successor to Frank Ntilikina, whom the Piraeus club allowed to leave at the beginning of the transfer window. Moreover, both players share a common weakness, likely the only one in their respective skill sets: a sometimes inconsistent three-point shooting percentage.
Codi Miller-McIntyre Joins Olympiacos for Euroleague Title Defense
Olympiacos, aiming for a repeat Euroleague championship, has secured the services of highly-touted point guard Codi Miller-McIntyre. After celebrating their Greek league title, the club has made their first significant acquisition in the transfer market.
Miller-McIntyre, who previously played for JL Bourg and spent the last two seasons with Crvena Zvezda, is renowned as one of the top point guards in Europe. In the recent Euroleague season, he demonstrated his prowess with averages of 12.6 points and 7.4 assists per game.
His impressive playmaking abilities and unique physical attributes for a point guard position make him a natural replacement for Frank Ntilikina, who departed Olympiacos earlier in the offseason. Interestingly, both Miller-McIntyre and Ntilikina share a similar area for potential improvement: their three-point shooting can be inconsistent at times.
