Angela Hill showcased an ageless performance at UFC Macau, turning back the clock against former ONE Championship titleholder Jing Nan Xiong. In a highly anticipated debut for the Chinese star in the UFC, Hill delivered one of her most impressive performances in recent years, securing a decisive unanimous decision victory on Saturday at the Galaxy Arena.
From the outset, Hill, known as “Overkill,” established a relentless pace that proved too much for her opponent. She skillfully blended sharp striking combinations with effective clinch work and persistent forward pressure, consistently forcing Xiong, “The Panda,” onto the defensive. Although Xiong managed to land some strikes in exchanges, she struggled to match Hill’s superior volume and overall activity throughout the fight.
Hill’s control became even more evident in the second round, where she incorporated a takedown and continued to dictate the flow of the fight. Every time Jingnan appeared poised to build momentum, Hill would effectively disrupt her rhythm with pressure, intelligent movement, and well-timed offensive bursts.
Despite holding a comfortable lead heading into the final round, the 41-year-old American fighter showed no signs of slowing down. She continued to press for a finish, unleashing jumping knees, spinning attacks, and engaging in exchanges until the final bell.
In the end, all three judges unanimously scored the fight in favor of Hill, with identical 30-27 scorecards. This victory not only snapped Angela Hill’s two-fight losing streak but also improved her professional record to 19-16. Notably, this fight marked her 30th appearance in the UFC and saw her achieve the most wins in women’s strawweight history with 14 victories.
