The teams with the highest probability of securing the top pick are the Utah Jazz (17-65), Washington Wizards (18-64), and Charlotte Hornets (19-63), each holding a 14% chance. Following them are the New Orleans Pelicans (21-61) with a 12.5% chance and the Philadelphia 76ers (24-58) with a 10.5% chance. The Wizards have held the highest lottery odds for two consecutive years; however, the Atlanta Hawks won the top selection in 2024 and drafted forward Zaccharie Risacher.
Washington`s last No. 1 pick was John Wall in 2010. Charlotte`s most recent top selection was Larry Johnson in the 1991 draft. Notably, the Jazz remain one of six NBA franchises that have never secured the No. 1 overall pick.
