The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to make its inaugural visit to Serbia with a highly anticipated fight night event in Belgrade.
This marks a significant expansion into new European territory for the UFC. While the main event is likely to feature Uroš Medić, who has been instrumental in bringing the event to Serbia following his recent victory over Geoff Neal, the promotion will need to scout emerging talents from the Balkan region to fill out the card. Here, we highlight four Serbian prospects who are currently without a scheduled fight and could potentially make their UFC debut on August 1st at UFC Belgrade.
Potential Debutants at UFC Belgrade
Borislav Nikolić, a promising bantamweight contender, holds an impressive 16-2 professional record, with a remarkable 15 victories coming by way of finish. Since his debut in 2016, Nikolić dominated the regional scene, maintaining an undefeated streak until the end of 2020. His first career loss occurred in BRAVE against Brad Katona via submission. Despite a period of inconsistent form and inactivity, Nikolić has since embarked on a dominant run, securing six consecutive victories, all by stoppage. As the reigning BRAVE champion, he has already experienced success fighting in Belgrade this year and will undoubtedly aim to replicate that achievement at UFC Belgrade.
Nina Nikolija Milošević is considered one of the most exciting female prospects outside the UFC and a standout fighter to watch in Europe. Her exceptional amateur career in IMMAF has paved the way for a highly promising professional journey. In 2025, Milošević began the year with a 2-1 record and concluded it at 7-1, achieving five wins between March and July, with four of those coming in the first round. While her previous opponents were primarily from the regional circuit, she recently stepped up in BRAVE CF, defeating fellow rising prospect Dina Osman and handing her her first career loss.
Jovan Leka could be a valuable addition to what is perceived as a revitalized heavyweight division in the UFC. The 24-year-old Serbian fighter has already showcased his skills on a prominent platform, appearing on Dana White’s Contender Series last October. Leka secured a hard-fought victory by decision, though it was not enough to earn him a UFC contract at that time. Undeterred by that setback, Leka has already added two more stoppage wins to his record in 2026. Now standing at 13-2, Leka appears ready to make his official UFC debut at UFC Belgrade.
With an undefeated record of 16-0, it seemed only a matter of time before Nikola Joksović would sign with the UFC. However, he recently suffered his first professional defeat. In February, Joksović competed for the first time under the BRAVE organization against the veteran Brazilian Luciano Palhano. Despite being a significant favorite, Joksović lost by unanimous decision. While this recent setback might make him an unlikely candidate for a UFC Belgrade debut, his previous accomplishments, particularly his performances in Ares FC, are noteworthy and should not be overlooked.
