Valencia Basket, making a remarkable return to European competition this season, continues to impress. Following a crucial 85-84 victory over Olympiacos on Tuesday, which propelled them to fourth place in the standings, the club officially announced the contract extension of head coach Pedro Martinez until 2028.
This news is particularly welcomed by French player Neal Sako, who recently shared his thoughts on his coach:
“He’s a coach with a very modern game philosophy. We’re very much based on transition and three-point shooting. We try to play very fast. He has a lot of experience and has certainly evolved his vision of what he asks from his teams, because he was already coaching twenty years ago, at a time when nobody played like we do.”
