Belal Muhammad recently shared insights into what caused the tension between himself and fellow fighter Kamaru Usman.
Recounting a specific interaction, Muhammad stated, “He said, `Everything you do, I do better than you.`” Muhammad`s direct reply was, “But you didn’t take the kick to the head better than me.”
According to Muhammad, this comment seemed to particularly provoke Usman. He quoted Usman`s reaction: “`I don’t play these games, man, tell me that to my face.`” Muhammad highlighted the immediate context, adding, “`To my face? We’re right in front of each other.`”
