Both Leeds United and Burnley have officially earned their promotion to the prestigious Premier League.
Earlier in the day, Leeds, the Championship leaders, showcased their dominance with a resounding 6-0 victory over Stoke City. This win put pressure on Sheffield United and ensured Leeds` automatic promotion would be sealed if Sheffield United failed to defeat Burnley in the evening match.

Burnley`s 2-1 victory not only secured their own promotion to the top tier of English football but also confirmed Leeds` place in the Premier League.
Both Leeds and Burnley currently hold 94 points with two games left to play, setting the stage for a final showdown to determine the Championship title.
Josh Brownhill`s brace against Sheffield United, who are in third place, propelled Scott Parker`s Burnley back into the Premier League after their recent relegation.
Brownhill, the Burnley captain, opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a close-range finish. He later sealed the victory with a penalty, denying Sheffield United a chance to equal a record of 30 clean sheets in a single season.
Sheffield United will now compete in the play-offs despite accumulating an impressive 86 points this season.
Leeds, who led the Championship table for the majority of the season before briefly dropping to third, have redeemed themselves after last year`s play-off final defeat to Southampton.

Burnley manager Parker was visibly moved, both on the field and later in the stands with his family.
Parker, who boasts an undefeated home record this season, took charge in July, succeeding Vincent Kompany, and has since orchestrated a remarkable season.
He also maintains a perfect promotion record, having previously guided Fulham in 2020 and Bournemouth in 2022 to the Premier League.

Willy Gnonto further extended the lead in the second half.
