According to reports, former England coach Lee Carsley is being considered a candidate for the head coach position at Leicester City. This comes amidst speculation that current manager Ruud van Nistelrooy`s tenure at the club is reportedly coming to an end.
The club`s relegation to the Championship was confirmed on Sunday, following a difficult season where the team reportedly secured just 18 points.

Van Nistelrooy, who reportedly signed a two-and-a-half-year contract upon replacing the dismissed Steve Cooper in November, has seemingly been unable to bring about improved performances and results for the team.
Sky Sports suggests that he is `likely` to depart Leicester at the conclusion of the current campaign, and a list of potential successors has reportedly been compiled.

He currently manages the England Under-21 national team but also had an interim spell in charge of the senior England side, leading them for six Nations League games between the departure of Gareth Southgate and the arrival of Thomas Tuchel.

Russell Martin is also reportedly a candidate for the Leicester job. He was dismissed by Southampton in December, merely seven months after successfully guiding them to promotion to the Premier League.
Additionally, Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl is reportedly on Leicester`s shortlist.
The German coach has evidently impressed during his two seasons at Hillsborough. He successfully guided them to safety last season and achieved a mid-table finish in the current campaign.

Regarding Van Nistelrooy`s situation, he is expected to meet with the club`s hierarchy sometime this week to discuss his future at the King Power Stadium.
Reports suggest that he is unwilling to resign from his position unless he receives compensation.
Furthermore, it is reportedly the case that the Foxes are currently unable to dismiss him, as doing so could potentially lead to complications concerning Profit and Sustainability regulations within the current financial year.
