UFC welterweight contender Ian Garry recently commented on his victory over Carlos Prates. He also revealed that he intends to serve as the official backup participant for the upcoming title fight between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena. This championship bout is scheduled for May 10th at UFC 315 in Montreal, Canada.
Speaking after his fight, Garry reflected on his performance and future plans:
“Carlos is a legend, I respect him, he had a great winning streak, but I said I would outclass him, and I believe I did.”
“My main goal in this game is to prove that I am a real fighter. I have the blood of Irish warriors in me. And what’s next? I came out in 21 days against Shavkat, in 25 days against Carlos, and in two weeks I will fly to Canada and officially back up the title fight. And I am the next contender!”
