Barcelona has reportedly set its sights on Andrea Cambiaso, a prominent Serie A player from Juventus, placing him on their early transfer shortlist. The versatile fullback was previously a target for Manchester City approximately a year ago, though that move never materialized, according to sources from Sportitalia.

Cambiaso is currently under a long-term contract with Juventus, extending until 2029. Juventus reportedly does not consider him among their dispensable assets, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport. However, the situation remains dynamic, and a remarkably substantial offer might prompt the club to consider a sale.

Luciano Spalletti, expected to extend his tenure as national team coach shortly, views Cambiaso as a crucial future figure for the Italian squad. Therefore, Barcelona would need to present a highly compelling case to initiate any serious discussions. The defender himself is said to be receptive to the prospect of a move to the Catalan giants.

The Bianconeri value their key player at over €50 million and could be open to including supplementary clauses or makeweights in a potential deal. Cambiaso joined Juventus from Genoa in 2022 for €15 million. After a loan spell at Bologna, he became an integral part of Juventus’s first-team squad from the 2023/2024 season onwards.
