What was widely expected has now been confirmed: Fabien Romeyer is leaving his role as sporting director at JDA Dijon to take over the same position at SCABB starting next season. Laurent Legname, the current coach of the Burgundy club, is set to succeed Romeyer in Dijon, as previously announced.
Romeyer joined the Côte d’Or team in 2021 and played a significant part in the Dijon team’s notable achievements. Under his guidance, the team not only returned to European competition but also secured the French Cup in 2024. At Saint-Chamond, the expectation is that Romeyer’s expertise will help the club strive for promotion to Betclic Élite in the coming years.
SCABB’s General Manager, Fabrice Flotte, stated, “This appointment aligns with the club’s overall project unveiled just a year ago and reflects SCABB’s management’s commitment to sustainably structuring its sporting project, strengthening its organization, and supporting its ambitions for the first team and youth development in the seasons ahead.”
