Chorale Roanne continues to strengthen its roster. Following the addition of Juwan Ekanga-Ehawa, the team coached by TJ Parker welcomes a new medical replacement. This time, it’s American player Kyle Mangas who arrives to fill the void left by the injured Maxime Roos. The shooting guard has signed a contract for the remainder of the current season.
Mangas, who previously played for the Spurs in the G-League, has spent recent seasons alternating between second-tier leagues in the United States and Canada. With this move, he will return to European soil, where he previously launched his career with success in Hungary and Lithuania.
Roanne’s sporting director, Zoran Cvjetkovic, expressed his satisfaction: “I am very happy to welcome Kyle Mangas to Roanne and I am convinced that his arrival will help us finish the season in the best possible way. He is a combo guard capable of immediately impacting the game with his scoring ability, his playmaking for others, and his excellent court vision. He has established himself in Europe and the G League as a reliable and productive player, possessing an excellent shot and real maturity in his decision-making. He was recognized this season with an NBA opportunity by signing a Two-Way contract with the San Antonio Spurs, which is proof of the recognition of his level. His arrival should allow us to add scoring and creation at a key moment of our season, in a context where we must adapt to the unavailability of an important player in our squad.”
