Monaco secured their eighth-place finish in the regular season with a 22-16 record, thanks to their victory. Hapoel, now sixth with a 23-15 record, will lose their home-court advantage in the playoffs.
Monaco dominated the game from the outset, led by Mike James, Alpha Diallo, and Jaron Blossomgame. They established a 25-11 lead by the end of the first quarter and extended it to 19 points in the second. A decisive 14-2 run at the start of the third quarter sealed their advantage. Blossomgame poured in 18 of his career-high 30 points in the second half, while James was instrumental with 20 points and 7 assists. Matthew Strazel contributed 11 points and 9 assists, with Diallo and Daniel Theis also scoring 11 points each. For Hapoel, Chris Jones led with 17 points and a career-high 10 assists, and Dan Oturu recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Playoffs and Play-Ins
- Olympiacos Piraeus has secured the top seed for the playoffs. They will face the eighth-placed team, to be determined in the play-in games.
- Valencia Basket has clinched the second seed for the playoffs. They will play against the seventh seed, also to be decided through the play-in.
- Real Madrid, third in the standings, will face Hapoel Tel Aviv, sixth, in the playoffs.
- Fenerbahçe Istanbul, fourth, will take on Zalgiris Kaunas, fifth, in the playoffs.
- Panathinaikos Athens, seventh, will battle AS Monaco, eighth, in a play-in game on Tuesday, April 21st. The winner will be the seventh seed in the playoffs.
- FC Barcelona, ninth, will host Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, tenth, in the first round of the play-in, also on Tuesday, April 21st.
- The loser of the Panathinaikos vs. Monaco game will face the winner of the Barcelona vs. Crvena Zvezda Belgrade match on Friday, April 24th, for the final eighth seed in the playoffs.
