These awards celebrate their achievements not only in England but also on the international stage.

Walsh, 28, and Stanway will be presented with their awards at a prestigious ceremony held on May 1st at the InterContinental London, Park Lane.

The event will be hosted by BBC presenter Gabby Logan, alongside former Lioness Eni Aluko, and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.

Carragher, a co-founder of the Women’s Football Awards in 2023, expressed his enthusiasm for presenting the awards.

He stated: “Keira Walsh and Georgia Stanway have both built remarkable careers, achieving incredible success in football.”

“This year’s awards are a fitting way to celebrate their accomplishments on the field.”

“We will also be recognizing their important work beyond playing, particularly their dedication to improving opportunities in grassroots football for women and girls.”

“I am very much looking forward to celebrating Keira and Georgia, together with Gabby Logan and Eni Aluko, at next week`s ceremony.”

Walsh is recognized as a pioneer in women`s football, both for her playing career and her efforts in developing youth girls` football.

She was instrumental in establishing the Rochdale Girls Development Centre two years ago.

The Chelsea player has also provided funding for kits and equipment for a female talent program that supports 35 young women.

Her playing accolades include a BWSL title in 2016, three Women’s FA Cups, and four Continental League Cups with Manchester City.

Walsh moved to Barcelona in 2022 before returning to England and joining Chelsea in January.

Stanway, 26, has also enjoyed a successful career with Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Notably, she scored a crucial goal in the Lionesses` victorious campaign at the UEFA Women`s Euro 2022.
