Davis` studs caught Saka`s heel as he attempted to take the ball from the Arsenal winger.
Referee Chris Kavanagh immediately showed a red card after witnessing the challenge.
VAR quickly reviewed the decision and agreed with Kavanagh`s call to send Davis off.
A statement on the Premier League Match Centre X account stated: “VAR confirmed the referee’s red card decision for Davis` serious foul play, deeming the challenge endangered an opponent`s safety.”
Davis acknowledged the severity of his foul and apologized to Saka as he left the field.
Arsenal fans were concerned as Saka appeared to be in pain, worrying about his availability for the upcoming Champions League semi-final.
Saka continued playing until the 57th minute when he was substituted.
Arsenal`s medical staff then applied ice to his ankle.
Piers Morgan criticized the tackle, calling it “disgusting” and lamenting the Ipswich fans` booing of Saka.
Fans expressed their worry online, hoping Saka was not seriously injured.

Despite the painful challenge, Saka was able to continue after receiving treatment, much to the relief of supporters.
One fan commented that Saka was fortunate to avoid serious injury, describing the tackle as “horrible” and intended to hurt Saka.
Saka has previously missed games this season due to a hamstring injury and only recently returned to full fitness.
Arsenal needs all key players fit for their Champions League semi-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium later this month.
Currently, the team is focused on securing a victory against Ipswich, a task made easier by Davis`s dismissal.
Arsenal were already leading 2-0 when the incident occurred, thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard in the first half.
