The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has officially revealed its Class of 2025, honoring a new group of legends in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Among those selected for this prestigious recognition are former NBA icons Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard, along with the celebrated 2008 U.S. Olympic men`s basketball team, known as the `Redeem Team,` which both Anthony and Howard were part of.
The Class of 2025 also includes WNBA stars Sue Bird, Maya Moore, and Sylvia Fowles, legendary Chicago Bulls coach and two-time NCAA champion Billy Donovan, Miami Heat`s managing general partner Micky Arison, and seasoned NBA referee Danny Crawford.
This year`s award recipients feature notable figures such as George Blaha, Clark Kellogg, Michelle Smith, Adrian Wojnarowski, and Jeff Twiss.
The complete list of nominees from both the North American and women`s committees was initially presented in December. The highly anticipated announcement of the 2025 class took place on April 5th during the NCAA men`s Final Four in San Antonio.
The enshrinement weekend is scheduled to commence on September 5th at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, featuring a tipoff celebration and awards gala. This event will include the presentation of Class of 2025 jackets and rings, as well as the annual Hall of Fame Awards. The formal enshrinement ceremony will follow on September 6th in Springfield at the Hall of Fame itself.

North American Committee
Carmelo Anthony (Player)
- Averaged 22.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game throughout his 19 NBA seasons with teams including the Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers.
- Recognized as a 10-time All-Star, six-time All-NBA selection, and the 2013 NBA scoring champion.
- Achieved the 2003 NCAA tournament championship and named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
Danny Crawford (Referee)
- Dedicated 32 years to his NBA refereeing career.
- Officiated in over 2,000 regular-season games.
- Participated in 300 playoff games and 30 NBA Finals games, including an impressive streak of 23 consecutive NBA Finals appearances.
Billy Donovan (Coach)
- A two-time NCAA champion coach.
- Accumulated 502 NCAA wins and 399 NBA wins.
- Named co-Coach of the Year by the NBCA in 2020.
Dwight Howard (Player)
- Averaged 15.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game over 18 seasons in the NBA, playing for teams such as the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, and Philadelphia 76ers.
- An eight-time NBA All-Star, eight-time All-NBA honoree, and three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
- Won an NBA championship with the Lakers in 2020.
2008 US Olympic Men`s Basketball Team
- Gold medal winners at the Beijing Olympics.
- Maintained an undefeated 8-0 record throughout the tournament.
- Achieved an average margin of victory of 27.9 points.

- Averaged 11.7 points and 5.6 assists per game across 20 seasons with the Seattle Storm.

Sylvia Fowles (Player)
- Averaged 15.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game in 15 seasons with the Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx.
- The 2017 WNBA MVP, eight-time All-Star, eight-time All-NBA selection, and four-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year.
- Two-time WNBA champion.
Maya Moore (Player)
- Averaged 18.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game over eight seasons with the Minnesota Lynx.
- The 2014 WNBA MVP, six-time All-Star, and seven-time All-WNBA honoree.
