Seeking to elevate its status with Tony Parker now at the helm, ASVEL is actively pursuing new talent. According to insider Andrea Calzoni, the Villeurbanne-based club has made a strong move for Sylvain Francisco. Reports suggest they are offering him a two-year contract worth €7 million, complete with a clause that would allow him to join the NBA this summer.
This substantial financial commitment appears feasible for the club, especially following recent investments. If this signing materializes, ASVEL would secure one of Europe’s most sought-after players. Francisco had an impressive season in the EuroLeague, averaging 16.5 points and 6.5 assists, which placed him second in the MVP race.
