FC Barcelona is set to undergo another coaching change. Xavi Pascual, who took over mid-season following the dismissal of Joan Penarroya and had a two-year contract, has activated his release clause and will be leaving the Catalan club this summer. The club themselves delivered this news to their supporters via an official statement.
In just a few months, Pascual has managed to turn the team’s fortunes around, guiding them to a Euroleague play-in qualification. Domestically, the Catalans are preparing for the playoffs with the aim of winning the championship, despite facing stiff competition from Valencia and Real Madrid, both of whom have advanced to the Euroleague Final Four.
