Tim Welch, who coaches former UFC middleweight king Israel Adesanya, has revealed that a potential rematch against Sean Strickland is being considered as Adesanya`s next bout.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Welch shared insights into Adesanya`s current mindset and future plans. He noted that `Izzy` is presently taking time to enjoy life, contrasting it with his previous schedule of fighting frequently and headlining numerous events. Regarding a return to the octagon, Welch stated, “As for his next fight, it looks like he wants to get even with Shawn now. This is the fight he is interested in at the moment.”
It is recalled that Israel Adesanya lost his middleweight championship to Sean Strickland via unanimous decision in September 2023.
