Alpha Diallo to Miss Game 3 Against Olympiacos

AS Monaco’s forward, Alpha Diallo, will be unavailable for Game 3 of their series against Olympiacos. The team is also managing other injury concerns, with Daniel Theis awaiting further evaluation and Nikola Mirotic facing a multi-week absence.

Matthew Strazel highlighted the critical importance of the final minutes of their recent game, emphasizing the team’s ability to execute and secure a victory. He acknowledged the challenging nature of playing in Strasbourg and praised the contributions of players like Abdoulaye Ndoye, Mike Davis Jr., and Marcus Keene, who made the game a high-scoring affair even after overtime.

Sergii Gladyr noted the accumulated fatigue among the seven players who delivered significant energy. He stressed the importance of regaining their winning mentality and three-point shooting efficiency, commending the team’s ball-sharing. Gladyr also acknowledged Nedovic’s strong performance.

Regarding injuries, Gladyr stated, “Alpha Diallo… he is out for the next few weeks, I don’t know for how long. Daniel Theis, we are waiting for a new opinion, if he can perhaps play on Tuesday. Mirotic will also be out for several weeks. Juhan Begarin, we will have him back on Tuesday for the EuroLeague.”

Despite these setbacks, the team has made significant progress towards their primary objective of securing the top spot in the league standings.
