Following his victory over Diego Lopez and reclaiming the UFC featherweight title, Alex Volkanovski shared his thoughts.
`It feels amazing to be back,` Volkanovski stated. `The support I`ve received has been incredible. All week, and even before the fight, I promised my daughters I would bring the belt home. But now, it feels like it`s about more than just the belt. My message is for everyone who doubted me. Despite the setbacks – two losses, two knockouts, the talk about being past my prime at 35, and the time away – I proved myself again. And I did it against Diego Lopez, who fought incredibly well.`
