Cet incident s’est produit après une collision au milieu du terrain avec Paul George, alors que les deux joueurs tentaient de récupérer le ballon.
Son entraîneur, Mitch Johnson, n’a pas pu fournir de détails sur son état après le match. Il a cependant noté un signe encourageant : Wemby est revenu brièvement sur le terrain après l’impact, avant de retourner définitivement au banc.
Étant donné la prudence des Spurs concernant la gestion de leur superstar, il ne serait pas surprenant qu’ils décident de laisser Victor au repos pour le reste de la saison régulière. Une telle décision pourrait toutefois le rendre inéligible aux trophées de fin de saison, car il n’a actuellement joué que 64 des 65 matchs requis pour être éligible aux distinctions individuelles.

His coach, Mitch Johnson, could not provide an update on his condition after the game. However, he noted an encouraging sign: Wemby briefly returned to the court after the impact before definitively heading back to the bench.
