UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has responded to former lightweight titleholder Charles Oliveira after Oliveira suggested Topuria didn`t deserve an immediate title shot at lightweight.
Oliveira had previously stated that the Georgian fighter shouldn`t be given an immediate chance to compete for the belt in the under 70kg division.
In a message posted on X, Topuria addressed Oliveira directly, saying: `Charles, you better keep quiet. You have 10 losses in your career! You`ve been knocked out 5 times, submitted 4 times, and lost by decision once. You`re the challenger, and I`m the champion. I`m the father of this division. I didn`t come to lightweight to ask for anything. I`m in charge here.`
