Stuart Pearce Returns to talkSPORT for England vs Albania Game After Health Issue

Stuart Pearce has expressed his joy at returning to talkSPORT after a health scare, making his comeback for a significant match.

The 62-year-old former England defender shared his excitement about being back in the commentary box for England’s World Cup qualifier against Albania, which also marks Thomas Tuchel’s debut as manager.

Pearce revealed earlier this month that he experienced a medical emergency on a flight from Las Vegas.

He described suffering chest pains, requiring medical attention where doctors had to “insert a tube” into his throat and “restart” his heart.

TalkSPORT posted a video of Pearce at Wembley where he stated he was “really looking forward to the game.”

The former West Ham player commented, “New manager in charge, hopefully an energetic performance from England, and a win to start this campaign positively.”

Following his health incident on a Virgin Atlantic flight to Heathrow, Pearce spent five days in hospital.

After being discharged, he told talkSPORT presenters Jim White and Simon Jordan that he was “feeling brilliant.”

During the transatlantic flight, Pearce was monitored after experiencing heavy sweating and severe pain. First responders provided treatment as his partner watched.

Pearce will be giving his analysis on an England team featuring debutants Dan Burn and Myles Lewis-Skelly, along with Aston Villa’s Marcus Rashford in the starting lineup.

Manchester City and Nottingham Forest fans recently united to show support for their former player with a round of applause in the third minute of their Premier League match and a banner display.

Additionally, the message “Get well soon Stuart” was displayed on the big screen at the City Ground.
