AS Roma is bracing for a complex summer transfer window, driven by significant financial challenges. Due to a previous settlement agreement with UEFA and strict FIGC regulations, the club must adhere to financial fair play rules, limiting their combined deficit over the last three years to no more than €60 million.
This financial pressure necessitates at least one major player departure before June 30th. Among the top candidates for sale are Mile Svilar, Evan N’Dicka, Wesley, and Manu Koné, with the latter being a midfielder who is currently in high demand.
As a result, Roma is discreetly evaluating potential midfield replacements. Candidates reportedly under consideration include Ismael Koné from Sassuolo and Issa Doumbia of Venezia. Ismael Koné could make a swift exit from Sassuolo following a strong debut season in Italy, though his club is known for demanding high transfer fees.
Meanwhile, Roma, along with other top clubs like Milan and Inter, has been closely monitoring Venezia’s rising star, Issa Doumbia. He has showcased impressive form this season in Serie B, contributing 6 goals and 4 assists in 31 appearances, marking a significant leap from his previous top-flight experience.
