The manager of former UFC light heavyweight title contender Magomed Ankalaev has detailed the strategic plans for his client`s professional career. According to the manager, former champion Jiri Prochazka is the ideal opponent for Ankalaev’s next bout.
Explaining the rationale, the manager stated that while the team is keen on securing a third contest against current champion Alex Pereira, Pereira appears reluctant. Therefore, the immediate goal is to reinforce Ankalaev’s position as the mandatory challenger.
“Alex Pereira is not eager for a third fight with Magomed, but we will continue to insist,” the manager said. “However, right now, Magomed requires one decisive victory—for example, against a fighter of Jiri Prochazka`s caliber. If we manage to defeat such a high-level opponent, we will undeniably secure another championship title shot.”
