Initially, Paul Hughes was slated to face Wilson, but an injury led to his withdrawal. This change presented Kelly, who entered the bout with two consecutive submission victories in the PFL, with an opportunity to secure the most significant win of his MMA career. Wilson, on the other hand, aimed to rebound from a decision loss to Archie Colgan in October.
In the co-main event, former UFC and Cage Warriors fighter Rhys McKee made his Smart Cage debut against Alex Lohore in a catchweight bout at 176 pounds.
The main card saw Jay Jay Wilson defeat Darragh Kelly by knockout in the first round at 0:37. Rhys McKee secured a unanimous decision victory over Alex Lohore with scores of 30-27 across the board. Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov also won by unanimous decision against Tyson Pedro (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
On the preliminary card, Eoin Sheridan defeated Chris Mixan by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). Caolan Loughran submitted Alan Philpott with a face crank at 1:11 of the first round. Omran Chaaban won by TKO against Chequina Noso Pedro at 4:16 of the second round. Dean Garnett knocked out Ciaran Clarke with a spinning elbow at 1:52 of the first round. Pedro Carvalho earned a unanimous decision win over Sergio Cossio (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). David Martinez secured a submission victory over Giannis Bachar with a rear-naked choke at 0:53 of the second round. Sean Gauci defeated Liam Gittins by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27). Eoghan Masoliver submitted Shane Mullen with a rear-naked choke at 1:55 of the first round. Chelsea Hackett won by unanimous decision against Andrea Vazquez (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
