Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira has given his prediction for the highly anticipated rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira.
According to Oliveira, there`s a strong belief in Brazil that Pereira showcased a superior performance in their initial fight against Ankalaev. He highlighted Pereira`s success in defending against all takedown attempts and even managing to take Ankalaev down himself. Oliveira noted that Ankalaev landed only one significant punch that caused Pereira to retreat, and also frequently resorted to clinching Pereira against the cage.
Oliveira concluded by stating his confidence in Pereira`s abilities, predicting that in the rematch, Pereira will secure a knockout victory over Ankalaev in the second round.
