Former UFC lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira, recently reflected on his devastating defeat to Ilia Topuria.
In an interview with ESPN, Oliveira candidly expressed the emotional weight of the loss: “Imagine realizing I had an opportunity to reclaim the championship… and then understanding that not just my family and I were heartbroken, but thousands of fans across the globe shared that sorrow.”
It`s worth recalling that Oliveira was defeated by Ilia Topuria via knockout in the first round. Their highly anticipated bout took place on June 29 at UFC 317.
