With Tuesday`s results, the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues secured the Western Conference wild-card spots, eliminating the Calgary Flames from playoff contention.

In the East, the Columbus Blue Jackets` regulation win against the Philadelphia Flyers kept their playoff hopes alive. Will Wednesday finalize the 16th playoff team, or will it come down to Thursday`s games?

Carolina Hurricanes at Montreal Canadiens
7 p.m. ET (ESPN+)

This is the most crucial game of the night. A Canadiens win, or an overtime/shootout loss, clinches the second Eastern wild-card spot. Only a regulation loss for Montreal keeps the Blue Jackets` hopes alive. The Hurricanes` roster is uncertain, as they`ve already secured the No. 2 spot in the Metro Division.

Anaheim Ducks at Winnipeg Jets
7 p.m. ET (ESPN+)

The Ducks will finish no lower than ninth in the draft lottery. A loss combined with wins by the Penguins and Sabres on Thursday could move them up to seventh. The Jets have clinched the Presidents` Trophy as the NHL`s top regular-season team and No. 1 playoff seed.

Detroit Red Wings at New Jersey Devils
7:30 p.m. ET (TNT)

The Red Wings are currently 12th in the draft lottery and could move up to 10th. The Devils, like the Hurricanes, have their playoff position secured and will face Carolina in Round 1.

Dallas Stars at Nashville Predators
8 p.m. ET (ESPN+)

Neither team can change their position in the Central Division. The Stars will face the Colorado Avalanche in the first round, and the Predators are locked into the No. 3 draft lottery position.

Vegas Golden Knights at Vancouver Canucks
10 p.m. ET (TNT)

The standings for these Pacific Division teams are set. The Golden Knights are the No. 1 seed, and the Canucks are No. 15 in the draft lottery.

Edmonton Oilers at San Jose Sharks
10:30 p.m. ET (ESPN+)

Both Pacific teams have their positions finalized. San Jose is in the No. 1 draft lottery spot, and the Oilers will face the Los Angeles Kings in Round 1.
