However, he noted widespread complaints about their impact and predicted that teams and the league would likely seek ways to limit them in the next CBA. He even cited Kelly Hrudey's firm belief that players with an NTC should not even be permitted to request a waiver of their clause, underscoring the strong opinions surrounding this issue.

The prevalence of NTCs and No-Movement Clauses (NMCs) presents a complex dynamic in the league.
