New York Islanders forward Bo Horvat has been issued a $2,500 fine by NHL Player Safety for unsportsmanlike conduct stemming from an incident involving the San Jose Sharks’ bench.
Tyler Kleven Receives Fine and Major Penalty
Ottawa Senators defenseman Tyler Kleven was fined $4,166.67 for cross-checking Jared McCann. The infraction also resulted in a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct for Kleven during the game.
NHL Injury Updates
- Anaheim Ducks: Forward Mikael Granlund has rejoined the lineup after recovering from an upper-body injury. He missed six games, with the injury originally occurring in the Olympic bronze medal game.
- Chicago Blackhawks: Forward Oliver Moore left last night’s game in the first period following a collision with Colin Blackwell. He is confirmed out for tonight’s game, and his future status remains uncertain.
- Colorado Avalanche: Gabriel Landeskog, the team’s captain, is listed as week-to-week due to a lower-body injury. Coach Jared Bednar commented, “Well, it’s a lower-body injury, and not a comfortable one. That’s the time frame that the doctors gave us.”
